Position Summary

The Assistant Client Manager will support the senior client manager in managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role involves a blend of client interaction, project management, and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax and business services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing and nurturing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and providing timely and accurate information.
• Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of client jobs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.

• Identify advisory opportunities and expand services across the existing client base.

• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Help maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including financial data, correspondence, and job documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal tax legislation and stay updated on changes.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth job delivery and client satisfaction.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, including gathering necessary documentation and setting up client accounts in conjunction with support staff.

Skills

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting / client-facing role in a public practice or accounting firm.
• Proficiency in Xero.
• Strong understanding of tax and business services.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Strong customer service orientation.
