WATER TREATMENT TECHNICIAN

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on position. The majority of your time will be spent on the road servicing customers, however you will also become involved in warehouse operations when required. This provides an opportunity to gain practical experience across the broader water treatment industry, rather than simply performing filter changes. Over time, the successful applicant will develop knowledge of water filtration equipment, water softeners, system assembly, servicing and general water treatment applications.

Key responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to replace under-sink and whole-house water filters

• Carry out basic servicing and checks of water filtration equipment

• Complete scheduled service runs and maintain service records

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Identify and report any issues with customers' water treatment equipment

• Maintain and organise service vehicle, filters, fittings and tools

• Assist in the warehouse between service work

• Assemble and prepare water filtration and water treatment systems

• Assist with the assembly of equipment such as filter systems, water softeners and associated components

• General warehouse duties including preparing equipment and orders when required

About you

• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently

• Good practical/mechanical ability

• Confident using basic hand and power tools

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Organized and capable of managing a daily service schedule

• Holds a current Australian driver's license

• Willing to learn and develop new practical skills

• Happy working both on the road and in a warehouse environment

• Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, servicing, mechanical work, warehousing or water treatment would be beneficial, but water treatment experience is not essential and training will be provided
