Parts Interpreter – Northern Honda & Geely Epping (Full-Time)

About the role

As a Parts Interpreter, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day success of our growing parts department. You’ll be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, driving parts sales and contributing to the achievement of sales and profit targets.

Working closely with our workshop, service and dealership teams, you’ll use your automotive parts knowledge and attention to detail to ensure the right parts are sourced, supplied and managed efficiently.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with flexibility to work a half-day Saturday on a fortnightly basis, as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing stock from OEM and other suppliers.
• General parts administration duties as required.
• Supply and invoicing of parts to Trade, Service and Pre-Delivery departments.
• Conduct sales transactions with customers by telephone, internet, e-mail, eBay and over the counter.
• Prepare and assist in annual stock take.
• Carry out parts delivery when required.
• Picking and packing orders for dispatch when required.
• Processes of quotes, orders and invoices, and checks for accuracy and completeness of all related documentation.
• Adheres to efficient order process including with incoming orders accuracy and accordingly.
• Maintains integrity of DMS through regular update or upload of information.
• Proactively follows up on stock returns and customer credit requests.
• Ensure competency and diligence in cash handling, EFTPOS and associated receipting and documentation.

About You

• Previous experience in parts interpretation or automotive parts operations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with workshop teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to challenges.
• Knowledge of parts systems, stock control, and ordering processes.
• A team-focused attitude and commitment to supporting colleagues.
