Customer Service Team Member - RatPack Travel (Byron Bay)

RatPack Travel was established in 2016 and has become one of the best-rated travel agencies in Australia. We are looking for a switched-on, customer-obsessed individual to join our Customer Service team. Based in Byron Bay, we are a fast-growing team seeking someone who takes genuine ownership, is calm under pressure, and is open to constantly improving.

Our sales team gets the booking. You make sure the customer is looked after from that moment all the way to the end of their trip.

Pay

$70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Hours

The role is full-time, Monday to Thursday, with hours from 8am to 4:30pm. Half days Friday (8am – 12pm).

What does the role involve?

We help our customers book camper-van rentals in Australia and New Zealand. This position takes ownership of the customer relationship from the moment a deposit is paid and the booking is confirmed, through to the end of their trip. It's a full-time customer service role in our office located in Byron Bay Industrial Estate, reporting to our Operations Manager.

The day-to-day role:

⌁ Owning the customer relationship from booking confirmation through to the end of their holiday
⌁ Managing the customer service inbox daily, triaging and resolving messages across all channels and jumping on the phone
⌁ Processing date changes, amendments and cancellations, liaising with operators to confirm availability
⌁ Being the first point of contact for on-road issues, and working with operators to get them sorted
⌁ Protecting our 5-star review reputation by offering the highest level of service

All training will be provided.

What do we need from you?

⌁ Have full working rights in Australia
⌁ Be able to work in our Byron Bay Office - no remote role available
⌁ A strong work ethic & desire to learn within the travel industry
⌁ Customer service experience, and the ability to stay calm and solution-focused when a customer is stressed
⌁ Strong written and verbal communication
⌁ Organised with the ability to problem solve
