About the role

The Junction Inn Hotel, a newly renovated and iconic pub located in Raymond Terrace is now on the look-out for Experienced Chefs, Cooks and Kitchenhands to join our team. With a focus on exceptional customer service and high-quality dining, we have built a reputation as a hub for the local community and a popular destination for travelers.

You will join a close-knit hospitality team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

We are on the lookout for talented and motivated individuals to fill the following roles.

Casual and Full-time roles are on offer.

• Chefs

• Cooks

• Kitchen Hands

• Apprentice chefs

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking meals consistently to the highest standards.

• Support, guide and assist other kitchen team members.

• Take ownership of your section for a smooth, organised service.

• Manage stock rotation, deliveries, waste and kitchen cleanliness.

• Working collaboratively with Head Chef to develop new menu items and weekly specials.

What we're looking for

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong teamwork skills.

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen within a pub or high-volume restaurant environment.

• Strong knowledge and implementation of food safety and hygiene practices.

• The ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during busy service periods.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

• Experience or interest in hand stretching Napoli style pizzas and working with a wood fired oven would be highly regarded.
