Salary Classification: Registrar Years 1-4Remuneration: $59.38 - $74.47 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options .Applications for this ongoing vacancy are monitored and reviewed regularly

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the General Medicine Department at Calvary Mater Newcastle in an Unaccredited Registrar role.

You will be working in an acute clinical setting supporting the General Medicine Staff Specialists.

Your main duties will include:

Participate in the care of patients in a general internal medicine service, particularly those with complex care needsAccompany consultants and teams on daily rounds, attend meetings and discussions required for the provision of patient careLiaise closely with senior colleagues in matters of patient diagnosis, progress, results and management

About you:

MBBS or equivalent, currently hold full registration or eligible for full registration with the Medical Board of Australia (the position is not suitable for those with Limited registration).Have at least 3 years post graduate experience including experience in general medicine or hospital medicine within the Australian Healthcare system, or equivalent health system.Able to make sound clinical decisions in accordance with level of experience and awareness of limitationsDemonstrated ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team
