We are seeking dedicated support workers across all of Tasmania. We are proudly a Tasmanian Employer of Choice and we have positions for in home support workers.

Key locations we are actively recruiting in the Launceston & surrounds, Devonport, Burnie, St Helens and Hobart areas but all applications will be considered.

In this role you will work closely with participants to assist them to continue to live in their own home. You will be part of a growing and exciting team and supported with enthusiastic training and administrative support. You will be part of team that cares and puts its clients first. The dynamic nature of our services, coupled with the chance to work with multiple clients, guarantees regular opportunities for you to contribute significantly.

In this role your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Personal care support
• Domestic Assistance
• Social support
• Meal preparation
• Promote and encourage independence
• Support and manage challenging behaviours
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Engage in ongoing training essential to the role.

About you

We are looking for caring individuals with attributes such as compassion, empathy, adaptability, excellent communication, and attention to detail. Our staff are understanding and patient toward the needs of others and want to make a difference in people’s lives. You must be physically fit and able to perform all tasks required.

The successful applicant will be required to work a variety of shifts and must have availability to cater to start times between 7.00am – 8pm, 7 days a week and be prepared to travel within their region based on location.

You will have:

• Certificate III in individual Support or equivalent (must include modules CHCCS011, CHCCS015 or CHCCS031) or extensive experience in providing home care services for the elderly or experience working with people living with disabilities.
• National Police check less than 6 months old or willing to obtain one
• WWVP including NDIS worker check or willing to obtain
• Current certification in First Aid and CPR
• Drivers license and access to own vehicle with registration and insurance
