Nutrien Ag Solutions Limited
About the role
At Nutrien, we're more than a business - we're an essential part of the communities we serve. We proudly support Australian farmers with trusted advice, innovative solutions and a commitment to helping them grow successful and sustainable businesses.
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager Agronomy to join our Dorrigo team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This role offers flexibility and can be structured as either full-time or part-time for the right candidate.
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Northern Tablelands, Dorrigo is renowned for its lush landscapes, reliable rainfall and strong agricultural heritage. The region supports a diverse mix of dairy, beef, grazing and mixed farming enterprises, providing an exciting opportunity for an agronomist who enjoys working across a variety of farming systems while building meaningful relationships with local producers.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll partner with growers and producers across the region, providing trusted agronomic advice and helping customers maximise productivity, profitability and sustainability. No two days are the same, with opportunities to work across pasture, livestock, and mixed farming systems.
Provide high-quality agronomic and technical advice to growers across the region.
Conduct on-farm visits and deliver practical recommendations tailored to customer needs.
Drive product sales both in-store and on-farm.
Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with existing customers.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through superior agronomic insight and customer service.
Develop pasture, crop nutrition, crop protection and farm management plans.
Identify opportunities to grow sales and deliver value-added solutions.
Share relevant technical, seasonal and market insights to improve farm productivity and sustainability.
Stay current with the latest production practices, technologies and agronomic innovations.
Coordinate and participate in field days, trials and grower events, positioning yourself as a trusted local advisor.
What you'll bring
Proven agronomy experience, ideally within pasture, livestock, grazing or mixed farming systems.
Demonstrated capability in sales planning, call cycle management and customer growth.
Strong understanding of crop nutrition, fertiliser and crop protection products.
Ability to build trusted relationships and provide practical on-farm advice.
Commercial acumen with a customer-focused approach.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A genuine passion for Australian agriculture and helping growers succeed.
A tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science (or a related discipline).
A current driver's licence.
What you'll get
Competitive salary package with strong incentive and bonus opportunities.
Company vehicle for work-related travel.
Access to incentive and reward programs.
Purchased leave scheme benefits.
An additional paid day off each year with Nutrien Day.
A supportive, flexible and engaging workplace.
The opportunity to contribute to local community partnerships and initiatives.
A culture that genuinely values growth, safety and wellbeing.
At Nutrien Ag Solutions, we believe your career is in your hands. We offer the autonomy, accountability and support to help you grow as far as your ambition takes you. Safety is our number one priority – if it's not safe, we don't do it. We act with integrity and genuinely care about our people.
