About the role
You'll be carrying out a mix of workshop and field work on trucks and heavy vehicles. This is a permanent, stable role based in Mackay where you'll be home every night, working with a small, hardworking team carrying out quality repairs and maintenance.
Key responsibilities
Servicing, diagnostics and repairs on trucks and heavy vehicles
Fault finding and troubleshooting
Brake, suspension, steering and driveline repairs
Preventative maintenance and inspections
Field service and breakdown work when required
Working independently and as part of the workshop team
Completing jobs efficiently and to a high standard
Looking after workshop equipment, tooling and customer vehicles
About you
Qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Solid experience working on trucks and heavy vehicles
Confident with diagnostics and fault finding
Able to work independently without needing constant supervision
Takes pride in doing the job properly
Reliable and turns up ready to work
Works safely and looks after equipment
Current driver's licence
Gets along well with a small, hardworking team
Experience in the transport industry and field service work highly regarded

Complete Diesel Repairs is a locally owned Mackay business established in 2013. We provide workshop and field service repairs and maintenance to transport operators and commercial fleets throughout the Mackay region. We're a small team with high standards, and every person plays an important part in keeping the workshop running and our customers on the road.
