Medical Receptionist

We are looking for a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our wonderful team on a casual basis. This position is for approximately 8-12 hours per week, availability on Friday's is a must, plus coverage for sick and annual leave as needed.

Our current opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and select Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Shifts may be rostered between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.

As a medical receptionist in our practice, you will be responsible for:

• Warmly greeting and assisting patients

• Scheduling appointments and pro-actively coordinating the appointment book 

• Accurate data entry of patient information

• Processing payments

• Managing phone and email queries 

• Assisting in tidying up consult rooms 

• General administration duties as required

Qualifications & Attributes

• Customer-focused with a commitment to patient care

• A strong team player who contributes to a positive work culture

• Approachable, reliable and dependable 

• Excellent communication skills, professional presentation and positive can-do attitude

• Previous experience in administrative/reception roles

• Experience using Best Practice is advantageous 

• Sensitive in your approach when dealing with patients

• Authorised to work in Australia
