About the role
We’re seeking a female Support Worker to assist a vibrant and creative woman in her mid-30s living in Nundah. She’s full of personality, warmth, and humour, and is looking for someone who can match her energy and values.
Our client is passionate about animals (especially dogs!), enjoys arts and crafts, and proudly identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. She uses a power wheelchair, so accessibility awareness and a proactive approach to support are essential.
The ideal candidate is someone who’s inclusive, genuine, and confident, with a great sense of humour and a natural ability to take initiative. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t wait to be told what needs doing - someone who can look around, anticipate needs, and step in to help even when things seem quiet. Whether it’s tidying up, prepping for an appointment, or simply being present and engaged, your ability to notice the little things will make a big difference.
What You’ll Need:
Similar age to the client (mid-30s)
Must be a dog lover!
A safe and confident driver with a reliable vehicle
A self-starter who works well independently and, can get along with an established team
Comfortable with domestic duties and community access (appointments, outings, etc.)
Respectful, inclusive, and values authentic connection
Available shift times: Friday 10:30am-5pm & Saturday 12pm-2pm

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:
To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
Provide support to our Clients as required
Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
To be successful you must:
Have experience in providing bowel therapy to clients or a willingness to learn
Experienced in Manual Handling
Resonate with the role description above
Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (preferred)
Experience in bowel care/therapy (required)
