Structural/Electrical Engineer – Transmission Lines and HV Substation Structures

Zenviron are seeking a Structural or Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team, supporting the design and delivery of major renewable energy infrastructure projects.

This is a hybrid role with responsibility across transmission line design and HV substation and BESS structural design, including foundations and steelwork. You will work closely with electrical, civil and project team stakeholders to develop practical, compliant and buildable design solutions.

This role is well suited to a detail-oriented engineer who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain PLS-CADD models for overhead transmission line design, including validation of survey, terrain and design inputs
• Prepare and review design deliverables, ensuring constructability, compliance, and coordination with civil and electrical teams
• Design and verify foundations and steelwork for HV substations and BESS facilities, including key structural components
• Coordinate geotechnical, civil, and electrical inputs to deliver practical and buildable solutions
• Support procurement and subcontractor processes, including RFIs, design clarifications, and vendor reviews.

What we are looking for:

• Degree qualification in Structural or Electrical Engineering, eligible for (or holding) CPEng and state-based professional registration (eg. RPEQ, RPEV)
• Experience using PLS-CADD for HV transmission line design.
• Experience in HV substation foundation and steelwork design.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards (including AS/NZS 1170, AS 2067, AS 3600, AS 4600, AS/NZS 7000) and relevant Network Service Provider requirements
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality outputs.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Full working rights in Australia.
