About the Role:
This is an ongoing, part-time position at 56 hours per fortnight within the Nursing Education department in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
In this position you will be responsible for providing expert guidance, support, and education to nursing staff to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes. The CSN works in collaboration with nursing leadership to identify learning needs and provide facilitated learning to develop high quality clinical care skills with staff. The CSN is an advanced clinical nurse who stimulates enquiry, reflection, and the use of evidence in clinical practice to promote excellence in family centred care and clinical practice change.
Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 22 - Registered Nurses.
This will be graded at RN28 (Clinical Support Nurse), $115,289.20 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation.

About the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit cares for babies with a wide range of complex medical and surgical conditions with many requiring respiratory support and specialised surgical procedures. Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurses oversee the management of patient care, along with extensive cooperation of many other teams throughout RCH. The Nursing Education team plays a pivotal role in the acquisition and development of critical nursing skills and knowledge-based competence within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
