Budget Analyst

This role assists in the coordination of the department’s funding submissions and contributions to the annual State Budget process, as well as the coordination and compilation of briefing materials and questionnaires for Public Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC) processes. It also provides expert policy and financial advice on a range of budget and financial issues, including Cabinet submissions. 

The role requires good attention to detail, strong analytical, organisational, project management and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to produce high quality written work and presentations.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

• No specialist or technical expertise is required for this role. On the job training will be provided where necessary.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
