Bayer Consumer Health is seeking a commercially driven and strategic National Business Manager (Grocery Squad Leader) to lead the growth of our Grocery, Independent Grocery and eCommerce channels.

Operating within our Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) model, you'll lead through influence, bringing together customer teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth and drive category leadership.

The Opportunity

As Grocery Squad Leader, you will own the strategic direction and commercial performance of Bayer's Grocery, Independent Grocery and eCommerce channels. You'll lead the development and execution of growth strategies that deliver sales, profitability, market share and category growth, while aligning teams around a shared vision and growth agenda.

This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader who thrives in a matrix environment, enjoys influencing senior stakeholders, and is passionate about turning customer and category insights into business results.

• Develop and execute growth strategies across Grocery, Independent Grocery and eCommerce channels, identifying opportunities to drive sustainable sales, market share and profitability growth.
• Lead annual business planning, forecasting and performance management, ensuring commercial objectives and investment targets are achieved.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major Grocery retailers, Independent Grocery groups and eCommerce customers, positioning Bayer as a trusted category partner.
• Develop customer growth plans, lead joint business planning initiatives and negotiate commercial agreements that deliver mutual value.
• Leverage category, shopper and market insights to drive customer strategy, business performance and category growth.
• Optimise pricing, promotional investment, assortment and trade spend to maximise ROI, profitability and long-term growth.
• Lead and align the Grocery Squad through influence, fostering collaboration, accountability and execution excellence across customer teams and stakeholders.
• Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to deliver channel priorities, drive innovation and accelerate business outcomes.

Does this sound like you?

• 5+ years' experience managing major customers, channels or commercial portfolios.
• Proven success developing and delivering channel or customer growth strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen across trade investment, profitability, gross-to-net management and ROI optimisation.
• Deep understanding of Grocery retail, category management and shopper behaviour.
• Experience analysing customer and market data using tools such as Circana, Nielsen, Quantium, Power BI or equivalent.
• Demonstrated success leading through influence within matrix organisations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and strategic communication skills.
• The ability to navigate complexity, drive alignment and influence decision-making at senior levels.
