CHEF DE PARTIE | PENELOPE

Penelope Bistro is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen team.

Located in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Penelope is a vibrant European-inspired bistro renowned for exceptional food, premium produce and genuine hospitality. Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering consistently outstanding dining experiences while continuing to develop your culinary career.

As Chef de Partie, you'll be responsible for running your section, maintaining exceptional food quality and supporting junior chefs during service. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, professional kitchen and takes pride in every plate.

• Managing your section during preparation and service.

• Preparing and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard.

• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

• Assisting with stock rotation, ordering and minimising waste.

• Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.

• Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen team members.

• Contributing ideas for menu development and daily specials.

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Demi Chef ready to step up.

• Strong knowledge of modern Australian or European cuisine.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Passion for quality ingredients and attention to detail.

• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services.

• Relevant cookery qualifications and current food safety knowledge.
