About the role
What is the opportunity?
As an Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader for the Centre, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the funded kindergarten programs within a long daycare setting. This role involves working in partnership with the leadership team to plan a rich and diverse educational program including community excursions and in-house incursions and programs.
To lead, guide and support a team that provides high-quality care and education to children in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures, National Quality Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). To develop relationships that support families. Contribute to the development, articulation and alignment of the vision, mission and strategic goals of the service; develop, implement and monitor high-quality learning programs in a Christian context in alignment with the Life Church vision statement.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Development and implementation of the QKLG and EYLF for the Kindy program and day-to-day operation of the assigned Kindy room
Provide leadership and support to educators and staff within the team in line with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
In collaboration with the Director and other Educators lead the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program to provide a high-quality program for all children and families.
Implement the room’s routine and the Service’s procedures.
Assist all staff in meeting the needs, supervision, health and safety of all children.
With the guidance of the Nominated Supervisor and colleagues, promote the highest standard of care for the children in accordance with the National Quality Standards.
In collaboration with the Director/Educational Leader, lead and guide staff in observing and planning for individual children and the total learning environment.
Life Early Learning Centre is a 60-place Christian Childcare Service that will cater to families with children aged between 6 weeks of age to Kindy age.

What you’ll need:
Bachelor of Education (in Early Childhood Education) or equivalent (ACECQA approved)
High-level knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards,
Current & Valid Working with Children check
First Aid and CPR certificates including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
Experience working with children with a range of abilities and interests
Minimum 12 months experience as an ECT
An additional 3 years experience in the Childcare industry
National Child Safety Training levels 1 to 4
Ability to satisfy a police criminal history check
