Local Guardians
About the role
This is not an events coordinator job!
If you like events because someone else books the venue and you just show up on the day, stop reading now.
In this role nobody gives you a calendar. Nobody gives you a contact list. You start with zero local relationships and you build them, one phone call and one door knock at a time, with councils, GPs, allied health clinics and community groups. Your job is to turn those relationships into small local information sessions that get people through the door and turn into paying clients.
If that sounds like hustle, keep reading.
What the job actually is
Own the pipeline. Every lead is tracked from first enquiry to signed client. Nothing sits unmanaged. You work with our Care Advisors to convert people.
Build the local event engine. This is most of the job. Plan and run small, high value local sessions, aimed at seniors and at local service providers. Working with our local care advisors, find the organisations, the partners and promote free events that educate on government funded aged home care. Target is one to two events a month per region, 25 or more people in the room, a mix of sessions for the public and sessions for local organisations.
Make every event count. Capture attendees, follow up fast, report what worked, do the next one better.
Keep marketing simple. Website content, social posts, email campaigns, basic SEO, event materials. About an hour a day. Not the main job, just kept tidy.
Run the CRM. One system, no complicated setup, tracking local service providers, community organisations and leads by region.
What we need from you
Forget the buzzwords. Tell us about real things you have actually done:
A time you contacted an organisation or business cold and got them to say yes
A time you had to hit a hard number with nobody checking on you every day
A time you built something from nothing, no budget, no team, no instructions
If you have that in sales, business development, territory rep work, real estate, or similar, we want to hear from you as much as if you come from marketing or events. The personality matters more than the job title on your last CV.
You should also be comfortable with:
Managing a pipeline and improving how many leads become clients
Running a CRM properly
Basic website and social media upkeep
A practical, no nonsense way of working, you do what gets results, not what looks good

To apply
Send your CV, and in your application answer this one question directly: give one real example of you getting a cold yes from a person or organisation who had no reason to say yes to you. Applications without a specific answer to this will not be reviewed.
