YOUR ROLEThe Assessment Lead is a co-lead role to oversee and coordinate assessment initiatives across all schools alongside the Lead, Assessment Strategy & Implementation. This role is designed to support the Education Strategy and Performance team across the teams existing and developing strategy, driving innovation and monitoring performance. This role would suit someone with broad and varied experience in large education organisations. The Education Strategy and Performance team are focused on organisational mission, vision and values of Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
WHAT YOU WILL DORepresent MACS and liaise with peak bodies, providers and networks on assessment-related requirements, programs and initiatives.Lead the development and overall strategic position in relation to assessment for all MACS schools, including the management and implementation of assessment initiatives at system and school level.Lead, coordinate and implement system-wide assessment programs and projects (e.g. NAPLAN, ACER Progressive Achievement Testing (PAT), Digital Assessment Library (DAL), assessment advice) by applying best-practice educational project management, including determining the viability and benefit of existing assessment programs.Lead the design, development and implementation of policy, guidelines, schedules and resources related to effective and best practice assessing of student outcomes and teacher efficacy.Lead and coordinate technical integration and optimization of data and information from system-wide assessment programs for accurate and timely learning analytics Other duties as required by the Assessment Leads.Other duties as required by the Manager, Education Strategy
ABOUT YOUProven ability and demonstrated experience in leading large-scale teaching and learning initiatives across complex education systems or sectors.Highly developed education project and program management experience and skills, including scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, benefits realisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, and effective reporting.Highly developed interpersonal and written and spoken communication skills, including:Experience in leading and/or coordinating effective teamsThe capacity to effectively communicate across education organisationsDemonstrated strong organisational skills and initiative, including the ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage work in a dynamic setting.Advanced level of knowledge and skills in working with relevant software packages, especially within the Microsoft Office suiteA commitment to the Catholic ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching and to the policies of MACS.
