Maintenance Manager

As the Maintenance Manager at Inghams Feedmills based at Wacol and Hemmant, you will oversees all maintenance operations for feed manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient production of animal feed products. This role involves managing preventive maintenance programs for grain handling systems, feed processing equipment, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with feed, council and safety regulations.

What you’ll do:

• Drive team building activities and lead a team of maintenance fitters including on site contractors
• Manage contractor safety requirements site specific permits
• Oversee maintenance of feed manufacturing equipment including hammer mills, mixers, pellet mills, and coolers
• Maintain grain handling systems: bucket elevators, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, and pneumatic systems
• Ensure proper operation of silos, bins, and grain storage facilities
• Manage maintenance of scales, batching systems, and automated feed delivery equipment
• Coordinate onsite and offsite contractors ensuring all regulatory compliance are met.

What you’ll bring:

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, or Trade Qualified
• Experience leading teams in a similar maintenance environment.
• It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of feed mill equipment: hammer mills, pellet mills, mixers, and grain handling systems
• Keen ability for problem solving and a strong commitment to driving process improvements and best practices.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems
• Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and process control instrumentation
