About the Role

This is a Geraldton-based residential position with regular travel to mine sites across Western Australia for shutdown work.

You will lead frontline crews, manage shutdown execution, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead mill relining shutdown crews (5–25 personnel)

• Plan and execute shutdown work in line with scope, schedule, and safety requirements

• Deliver pre-starts, JHAs, and toolbox meetings

• Ensure compliance with site procedures, permits, and isolation processes

• Coordinate personnel, logistics, and site activities

• Monitor safety, productivity, and work quality onsite

• Complete reporting including timesheets, job reports, and client documentation

• Liaise with clients, site stakeholders, and internal teams whilst on-site

• Mentor and develop Leading Hands and Reline personnel
  

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience supervising mill relining shutdowns (SAG, Ball, Rod Mills)

• Strong knowledge of relining processes, equipment, and methodologies

• Ability to lead teams in high-pressure shutdown environments

• Experience with permits, isolations, and site safety systems

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and scope of work

• Solid organisational and reporting capability

Mandatory Requirements

• Current Driver’s Licence (C Class minimum)

• Confined Space Entry & Working at Heights

• Senior First Aid Certificate

• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening

Desirable

• Truck Licence

• Section 26 units and exam (or equivalent)

• Dogman / Rigging / Forklift / Telehandler tickets

• Liner Handler experience

• Cert IV in Leadership, WHS, or Training & Assessment
