Senior Accountant Supervisor – Business Services – Brisbane - National Firm

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT / SUPERVISOR – BUSINESS SERVICES – BRISBANE – NATIONAL FIRM (JOB ID 1239)

Our client is a well-established national accounting and advisory firm with over 30 years’ experience delivering specialised services across taxation, advisory and forensic accounting. With offices across Australia and a strong reputation for technical excellence and client service, the firm partners with businesses and individuals to deliver practical, high-quality financial solutions. Their Brisbane team is now seeking a Senior Accountant / Supervisor to join their growing business services division. 

The Role: 

• Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate accountants within the team 

• Review financial statements, tax returns, and reconciliations 

• Provide technical guidance and support to ensure high-quality work 

• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations 

• Support the delivery of accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base 

• Assist with workflow management and process improvements 

• Work closely with Managers and Partners to achieve team and client outcomes 

• Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders 

About You: 

• Degree qualified in Accounting or related discipline 

• 5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice / business services 

• Previous experience reviewing work and mentoring staff 

• Strong technical knowledge across financial statements and tax compliance 

• Experience with Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office 

• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to manage priorities and support team performance
