About the role
Prince of Peace Lutheran Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma Qualified Lead Educator to join our team on a full-time basis.
As a warm and welcoming one-room kindergarten community, we celebrate each child's unique learning journey through a play-based program that encourages exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences. Our caring and experienced team builds strong relationships with children and families, creating a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and confident to thrive. We work closely with families to support children's growth, development, and successful transition to school.
💛 About the Role
As our Lead Educator, you will work alongside the Early Childhood Teacher to play an integral role in guiding children's learning and development while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and implementing engaging educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Creating meaningful learning experiences that support children's individual strengths, interests, and development.
Providing active supervision and ensuring children's safety and wellbeing at all times.
Building positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Collaborating with educators and leadership to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
Contributing to documentation, observations, and assessment processes.
Supporting continuous improvement and quality practice across the service.
🎓 What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or another ACECQA-approved qualification.
Previous experience in a Lead Educator role within an Early Childhood setting.
Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
Completed Child Protection Training.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A positive, professional, and reliable approach.
Must be available to work open and closing shifts
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
