From creating a vibrant and dynamic space using imaginative displays to serving and assisting customers, working behind the scenes with sorting and tagging stock there is always so much fun to be had at Uniting Op Shops. We work with physical stock in stores, so there may be some manual work involved.

**Who can volunteer?**

Everyone is welcome! Our volunteer roles are open to people from all walks of life, including:

**Centrelink volunteers:** Meet your requirements while making a difference.

**People learning English:** Practice language skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

**People with a disability:** We provide support and accommodations to ensure everyone can participate.


**What you’ll need to volunteer**

To ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, we ask volunteers for:

**National Police Check:** A quick background check for peace of mind (at no cost to you).

**Working With Children (Vic) / Working with Vulnerable People Check (Tas):** We can help you get your free card if you don’t already have one.

**Character reference:** Help us confirm your suitability with someone who knows you well.

**International Police Check (if relevant):** we’ll help you get this if you’ve lived overseas recently.
