About the role
The Health, Safety & Quality Officer supports the HSEQ Manager in maintaining and enhancing M. Tucker & Sons Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System. This is a varied role combining office-based administration with regular field work across operational sites and project locations, ensuring the business remains compliant with legislative requirements and internal management systems while driving a positive safety culture.
Key responsibilities
Conduct workplace inspections and site safety audits across multiple work sites
Complete field observations and verify compliance with company procedures
Assist with maintaining the company's Integrated Management System
Undertake quality assurance inspections and compliance audits
Assist with risk assessments, SWMS reviews and hazard management
Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed
Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
Process HSEQ documentation, reports and compliance records
Assist with maintaining training, licensing and competency records
Prepare audit reports and assist with continuous improvement initiatives
About you
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or willingness to obtain)
Previous experience in a Health & Safety, HSEQ or Compliance role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Confidence working independently across multiple locations
Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels
Current Victorian Driver's Licence
Experience within the civil construction, waste management, infrastructure or environmental services industries (desirable)
