About the role

The Café Manager will oversee the daily front-of-house operations and help build a positive, efficient and customer-focused team. The successful Barista will be confident working independently during busy service periods while consistently delivering high-quality coffee and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Managing daily café operations and service standards
• Leading, training and supporting front-of-house staff
• Preparing staff rosters and coordinating shift coverage
• Managing stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships
• Monitoring labour costs, wastage and general operating expenses
• Handling customer feedback professionally
• Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and food safety
• Preparing consistently high-quality espresso-based beverages
• Producing confident and well-presented latte art
• Setting up, operating and cleaning coffee equipment

About you

• Have previous café or hospitality management experience
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
• Be organised, reliable and confident managing a team
• Have a good understanding of café operations and customer service
• Be comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment
• Have previous barista experience in a busy café environment
• Be confident with coffee preparation, milk texturing and latte art
• Be reliable, punctual and well organised
• Have strong communication and customer service skills
• Hold valid Australian working rights
