Led by Food Director Massimo Mele and Executive Chef Thomas Pirker, Grain is a recognised leader in Launceston's dining scene, earning Three Glasses in Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards 2025 and Hall of Fame at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards We're seeking a Restaurant & Bar Manager to lead service across Grain Restaurant, Grain Café and Woody's Bar. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Manager, or an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager ready to step into a broader leadership role. As the 2IC to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll have genuine influence across the operation with a clear pathway into senior Food & Beverage leadership. About the Role You'll lead daily service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, café and events, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm and memorable experience. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll coach the team, uphold service standards and lead the day-to-day running of the venue. What You'll Be Doing Lead front-of-house operations across Grain Restaurant, Grain Café and Woody's Bar. Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team. Deliver exceptional guest experiences while showcasing Tasmania's food and wine. Support rostering, ordering, stock control, compliance and daily operations. Assist with events and step into the Food & Beverage Manager's role when required. What You'll Bring At least 3 years’ experience leading a busy restaurant, bar or premium hospitality venue. Completed at minimum a Diploma in Hospitality Management Strong leadership skills and a passion for exceptional service. Confidence managing rosters, stock and operational performance.
