Home & Garden Handyperson - Community Care (Casual position)

Village Baxter's Community Care Team provides personal care and domestic services throughout the Frankston & Mornington Peninsula area. We are seeking to add another casual Maintenance & Gardening Handyperson to our team. The role involves practical outdoor work with occasional light maintenance duties.

We are seeking someone hardworking, polite, and physically fit who is interested in working casually across Frankston South and surrounding suburbs. Please note that expressions of interest from contractors will not be considered.

Successful applicants will have a strong desire to help others, the ability to work autonomously, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in the delivery of home and garden maintenance services to older Australians.

Regular duties will include cleaning windows and gutters, cleaning ceiling fans and air-con filters, changing smoke detector batteries, mowing, pruning, weeding and general garden tidy ups. Staff are expected to provide their own equipment (mower, gardening tools, ladder etc.) and will need a current driver's license and regular access to a reliable, fully insured vehicle.

Prior experience in a similar role within a Homecare, Aged Care or Disability services environment will be strongly regarded. Hours will vary from week-to-week, with a likely maximum of 15 hours. 

The hourly rate of pay, including 25% casual loading, is $43.03 (as a Home Care Employee - Level 2 Home Carer - under the SCHADS Award).

Staff are paid weekly, and generous salary packaging arrangements enable staff to boost their take home pay. We pay travel time and a kilometre allowance for travel between clients.
