As our Safe Business Lead, you'll sit at the heart of the Marketing function, partnering closely with leaders and subject matter experts to help ensure our marketing activities are delivered safely, responsibly and in line with regulatory expectations. You'll bring a deep understanding of compliance and risk management practices and how they apply in a marketing environment, balancing customer outcomes and compliance requirements. 

You'll support the team on the risks associated with customer messaging, campaign deployment and marketing operations. You'll understand the nuances between broad-reach brand campaigns and targeted customer communications and how regulatory obligations, including ASIC and consumer protection requirements, apply across different channels and messages.  

You'll also play a key role in strengthening the control environment, managing events and issues, and driving continuous improvement across processes that remain highly operational and hands-on.

What you'll do 
 

• Partner with the Marketing leadership team to embed strong risk management practices across campaigns, communications and customer journeys. 

• Provide expert advice on marketing-related risks, including customer messaging, campaign deployment and regulatory compliance. 

• Lead the management of risk events, issues and remediation activities to deliver sustainable outcomes. 

• Strengthen and continuously improve the marketing control environment, governance processes and operational practices. 

• Act as a trusted advisor on marketing operating models, martech platforms and channel-specific risk considerations. 

What we're looking for 
 

• Experience in risk, governance, controls or operational excellence within a marketing, digital, customer or regulated environment. 

• Strong understanding of marketing operations, customer communications and the risks associated with campaign delivery. 

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting marketing and customer communications, including consumer protection obligations. 

• Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders, SMEs and cross-functional stakeholders. 

• A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with a passion for improving processes, controls and customer outcomes.
