MHM are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team located in our Perth Head office, Managing our Perth workshop and Remote Field service teams. The role will be responsible for the safe, professional, financial compliance and efficient running of the maintenance department across our WA Operations. 

About the Role:

• Safely lead the team of maintenance professionals

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as the MHM representative

• Drive efficiency within the team to meet tight deadlines whilst ensuring team members comply with all OHS responsibilities and that a safety-first culture is the consistent behaviour within the team

• Provide maintenance solutions and support

• Ensure accurate, cost effective and on time solutions are provided to our customers and clients at all times

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to machine performance, parts, workmanship and safety

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate Field service works

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to all unplanned down time with honesty and professionalism

• Be responsible for the day-to-day activities of maintenance personnel and ensure labour and resources are used most effectively

• Ensure ongoing Profitability of all work carried out in WA. 

• Developing and maintaining excellent client and customer relationships to ensure MHM are first in mind.

• Heavy Mechanical Trade - AUS/NZ Recognized

• Previous experience as an Operations or Service manager in the Mining equipment maintenance industry

• Sound knowledge on a variety of OEM's

• Great communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Solid technical knowledge and the ability to navigate complex technical issues

• Financial acumen across job quoting, costings and profit.

• Experience in supply chain compliance and just in time procurement

• Minimum five (5) years post trade experience

• Previous experience in mining and civil equipment maintenance

• Previous experience in mobile equipment repairs

• Current manual drivers’ licence

• Able to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and DAS

• Able to provide a current National Police Clearance
