Expression of Interest: People Operations Lead, Level 6, Westport

Westport is relocating WA's port from Fremantle to Kwinana, one of the largest infrastructure programs in the state's history. Behind the cranes and the construction sits a workforce that has to be built, guided and looked after through years of change. That's where our People Operations Lead comes in.

We're not just filling a Level 6 position. We're looking for someone who knows how to hold a room during a hard conversation, who builds trust with people at every level, and who can stay steady when the plan changes for the third time in a week. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity (with potential 12-month further extension) to start ASAP.

What you'll do:
• Lead people and change strategies that support delivery of the program
• Apply agile approaches to workforce initiatives
• Partner with leaders across Westport to embed effective people practices
• Own employee lifecycle processes and onboarding through to workforce planning, delivery and reporting

Who we're looking for:
• Someone with a genuine can-do attitude, not just on good days
• Deep experience delivering employee lifecycle processes and People advice across all levels of management
• A track record navigating workforce and change strategy inside complex programs or infrastructure projects
• The confidence to influence and negotiate with stakeholders, even when the topic is sensitive or contentious
• A knack for turning data into insight that shapes Executive decisions
• Experience leading a team while never losing sight of the bigger picture
