Floor Manager

About the role

Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you will take a leading role in the smooth running of restaurant services and help ensure the front-of-house team consistently delivers the level of service guests expect. On a typical shift, you will oversee a team of approximately six staff, providing direction and support throughout service and ensuring established systems, structured order of service and customer service standards are consistently followed. This is a hands-on position where you'll be on the floor leading by example, interacting with guests, supporting the team and ensuring the small details that create a great restaurant experience are never overlooked.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the front-of-house team during service

• Maintain a high level of hospitality and customer-focused service

• Ensure established systems and structured order of service are followed

• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and service standards throughout the restaurant

• Support, train and develop junior team members

• Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally

• Work closely with the kitchen and Restaurant Manager to deliver smooth services

• Assist with opening and closing procedures and general restaurant operations

• Communicate effectively with the wider team before, during and after service

• Help build upon the strong standards and positive workplace culture already in place

About you

• Strong restaurant or hospitality experience

• Previous experience as a Senior Waiter, Supervisor, Section Leader or similar

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• A high level of attention to detail

• Confidence to lead and motivate a small team

• Ability to remain organised and composed during busy services

• Willingness to follow established systems and procedures

• Professional, positive and hands-on approach

• Available to work evenings

• Good food and wine knowledge, or a genuine interest in developing it

• A current NSW RSA
