About the role

Are you an experienced educator ready to take the next step in your leadership journey?

As a permanent part-time Room Leader at our Midway Point Education and Care Service, you will lead by example, supporting educators to deliver high-quality education and care while creating engaging, inclusive and safe learning environments for children. Working closely with the Service Leadership Team, you will play a key role in mentoring educators, promoting reflective practice, strengthening team capability and ensuring quality outcomes for children and families.

As Part of the Role, You Will:

• Lead and support educators to deliver consistent, high-quality daily practice and routines.
• Guide educator practice through mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture.
• Support curriculum planning, documentation and reflective practice in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
• Ensure children’s safety and wellbeing through effective supervision and compliance with LGT’s policies and procedures.
• Support Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the Service Leadership Team to support quality outcomes across the service.
• Undertake Responsible Person responsibilities when required.

About You

You are an experienced early childhood Educator who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example and creating positive outcomes for children.

You Will Bring:

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved) as a minimum qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Experience supporting, mentoring or leading educators within an early childhood setting.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to child safety, inclusion and continuous improvement.
• The ability and willingness to fulfil Responsible Person duties.
• Current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (Child-Related Activity).
