Primary Teachers Required!

Full time ongoing positions have become available in Primary at Al-Taqwa College.

Applicants must be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and demonstrate a genuine care for students.  The successful applicants will possess the relevant qualifications for the position and be currently registered or in the process of obtaining registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.  Graduates are welcome to apply.

A proactive child safety and health and safety approach is a must.  A dedication and commitment to the teaching vocation and the over-arching care and nurturing of our students to achieve and accomplish academically and in their individual strengths and capabilities.

The College is especially interested in seeking expression of interests in the following areas:

Teaching

• Classroom Teacher

• Primary Specialist Teachers - Art , Digital Technology, Health and PE

• Arabic / Islamic Studies teacher

Essential Criteria for Teacher Positions

• Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English

• Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English / Arabic skills

• Demonstrated capacity in effective classroom management

• Be passionate about teaching, bringing a range of academic expertise and life experiences to the classroom.

• Capacity and willingness to differentiate instructional approaches and materials for mixed ability classes

• Assist with the development and sharing of teaching materials

• Maintain a positive environment in the classroom which is respectful of all present and fosters student learning;

• Participate in the College's professional development activities in and out of school hours

• Undertake formal pastoral and administrative duties

• Participate in the College's extra-curricular and co-curricular programs as required.

The successful candidate will need the following:

• Tertiary degree in Education

• Eligible for VIT Registration

• Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
