This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Junior Accountant to join a high-performing finance team and develop their accounting skills within a large, well-respected international business.

As a Junior Accountant, you will support the broader Finance team across a range of accounting and financial administration activities. This role would suit an early-career accountant looking to build strong foundations across month-end, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting.

You will work closely with experienced finance professionals and have the opportunity to gain exposure to the financial operations of a large, complex retail organisation.

• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Process journals, accruals and prepayments
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
• Support the preparation of financial reports and management accounts
• Assist with invoice processing and payment runs as required
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with audit requirements and provide supporting information when required
• Support the Finance team with budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the Finance function
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the wider Finance team

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant who is keen to develop their career within a globally recognised organisation.

You will ideally have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• 1-2 years' experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles
• Experience with reconciliations and general ledger processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn
• The ability to work collaboratively within a busy Finance team

CA/CPA studies, or an intention to commence professional studies, would be highly regarded.
