Rivermount College is seeking an enthusiastic Upper Primary School Teacher to join our team for a twelve-month fixed-term contract commencing in Term 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, resilient and optimistic educator who builds positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues and collaborates with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
This is a full-time fixed-term contract commencing in Term 1, 2027 for a period of approximately twelve months.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver effective teaching and learning programs for every student in allocated classes, which are aligned with national, state and College guidelines.
Mark, assess and moderate students’ work in a timely manner and maintain accurate records in relation to each student's progress.
Maintain teaching competency and currency of knowledge of relevant curriculum programs.
Attend and conduct parent/teacher interviews and information evenings as required.
Develop cooperative relationships and work as part of the team to achieve the aims and objectives of the College.
Complete administrative tasks as required in a thorough and punctual manner.
Actively participate in the College’s co-curricular program.
Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment.
Selection Criteria
Bachelor of Education or a degree / qualification with a Postgraduate Teaching Qualification.
Previous experience in Upper Primary Teaching is desired.
Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
Excellent knowledge and experience teaching in the primary years, and a thorough understanding of the Australian Curriculum, with proven effectiveness benchmarked against the AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers.
Competent at integrating digital technology into a contemporary learning environment.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact with both adults and students.
Be able to work independently but also as part of a dynamic, creative, and collaborative team.
Effective behavioural management, planning and organisational skills.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
An enthusiastic, self-motivated, and professional attitude.
