Survey Drafter

Working alongside our Surveyors, Utility Teams and Project Managers, you will deliver accurate drafting solutions across surveying and utility projects while helping maintain the high standards our clients have come to expect.

The Opportunity

This is a diverse role where you’ll work on a wide range of projects, producing accurate survey drawings and technical drafting deliverables that support complex infrastructure, construction and development projects. You will play a key role in delivering quality outcomes while working across multiple disciplines and project types.

You will collaborate with experienced professionals across the business, manage multiple projects simultaneously and play an important role in ensuring deliverables are completed accurately, on time and within budget.

What You Will Be Doing

• Producing high-quality survey drawings and utility drafting deliverables
• Preparing as-built plans, set-out plans, WAE plans, utility plans, detail surveys, heat maps and volume calculations
• Drafting underground utility networks and service information to support utility locating, mapping and asset investigation projects
• Producing cadastral drawings where required
• Completing 12d reductions to support Surveyors across multiple disciplines
• Assisting with BIM and Revit modelling projects
• Reviewing project scopes and ensuring drawings meet client requirements
• Working closely with Surveyors, Utility Teams, Project Managers and clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the drafting team

About You

You will be an experienced Survey Drafter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

You will also bring:

• A Diploma in Surveying or higher
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Survey Drafter role
• Advanced AutoCAD, Civil 3D and 12d skills
• Experience producing surveying and/or utility drafting deliverables
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and drafting standards
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive attitude with a strong focus on quality and client service
• White Card
