Qualified Air Conditioning Service Technician

T42 Electrical & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced and qualified Air Conditioning Technician to join our growing team.

This role would suit a capable technician who enjoys residential air-conditioning work and takes pride in providing accurate fault-finding, quality repairs, thorough servicing and professional installations.

The role is focused on technical ability, workmanship, reliability and customer care.

Our office is currently located in Worongary and will be relocating to Burleigh in the near future.

• $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience

You will work across the Gold Coast, primarily completing residential air-conditioning servicing, fault-finding, repairs and installations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing split and ducted air-conditioning systems

• Diagnosing faults and identifying the cause of system issues

• Completing repairs and replacing faulty components

• Installing split, multi-split and ducted air-conditioning systems

• Completing preventative maintenance and thorough system cleans

• Testing systems and confirming correct operation

• Identifying safety, performance and efficiency concerns

• Clearly explaining faults and recommended solutions to customers

• Completing accurate job notes, photographs and documentation

• Preparing and presenting quotes for repairs, replacements and upgrades

• Taking customer payments upon completion of work

• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked company van

• Treating customers’ homes with care

• Leaving all work areas clean and tidy

• Supporting apprentices and other team members when required

• Representing T42 professionally on every job

You will be supported by an experienced office team that assists with scheduling, customer communication and job coordination.

Our usual working hours are approximately 7:30am–3:30pm, although hours may vary depending on the scheduled work. Some earlier starts will be required for team meetings and training.

Overtime is available, and a willingness to assist with overtime when reasonably required is preferred.

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Be a qualified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic

• Hold a current Refrigerant Handling Licence

• Hold the required Queensland electrical licence or restricted electrical licence

• Hold a current driver’s licence

• Have experience servicing, diagnosing, repairing and installing residential air-conditioning systems

• Be confident fault-finding split and ducted systems

• Be able to work independently

• Take pride in completing neat, safe and high-quality work

• Be reliable, organised and accountable

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers

• Complete job notes, photographs and paperwork accurately

• Be committed to safety and industry standards

• Be willing to support apprentices and work as part of a team

• Be open to feedback and ongoing training

Experience with ducted systems, control faults, warranty work or ServiceM8 would be beneficial but is not essential.
