About UsBG Financial Group Pty Ltd is a professional accounting and financial advisory firmproviding taxation, accounting, audit, business advisory, Virtual CFO, portfolio reportingand corporate compliance services to individuals, businesses, SMSFs and corporateclients.Location: Sydney, NSW 2000Position: Management Accountant – Full-time (38 hours per week)Salary: $78,000 to $85,000 per annum + superannuationRoles & Responsibilities:Review and maintain accounting and management reporting procedures used across client engagements.Prepare management accounts and periodic financial performance reports for business clients, including analysis of revenue, expenditure, and operating results.Prepare and monitor client budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and financial projections, including analysis of variances between projected and actual results.Undertake cost and profitability analysis, including assessment of operating costs, margins, pricing structures, and expenditure across client businesses.Develop financial models and management reports for BG Financial’s Virtual CFO engagements, incorporating financial forecasting and business planning.Analyse financial trends and overall business performance and prepare financial information for client business planning and strategic reviews.Review clients’ financial and operating systems and internal controls and identify deficiencies and areas requiring improvement.Assess financial risks arising from client business operations and financial performance and advise on financial planning and risk assessment.Prepare and analyse portfolio reports for SMSF and equity investment clients, including investment values, cash balances, asset allocation, and portfolio performance.
Qualifications & Experience:Must have Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.Must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in management accounting, financial analysis, accounting or a related field.
Skills required:Strong technical knowledge of management, accounting, and financial reporting.Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.Strong knowledge of cost analysis, variance analysis, and financial modelling.Demonstrated ability to analyse financial performance, cash flow, expenditure, and pricing structures.Experience with accounting and financial reporting software, including Xero, MYOB or similar platforms.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
