Active Overnight Residential Supervisor

We are seeking diligent and responsible individuals who have experience working with young people, for the role of Overnight Residential Supervisor.  The primary focus of this position is to provide active overnight supervision and pastoral care to students residing in the Boarding Houses by regularly and randomly circulating through each area and responding to any needs that may arise overnight with an acute focus on student safety and support.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Mandatory qualifications and certificates

• Current and valid First Aid Certificates prior to commencement, as follows:
  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID011- Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID014 – Provide Advanced First Aid certificate 
  • 22578VIC – Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (or equivalent)
  • 22556VIC - Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (or equivalent)

Skills, attributes and experience

• Ability to demonstrate and authentically promote Ballarat Grammar’s values.
• An understanding of the wellbeing needs of young people.
• Experience working in a supervisory role within a residential or care setting.
• Demonstrated maturity, reliability, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to remain alert and responsive throughout overnight hours.
