Industrial Batteries Australia Pty Ltd (IBA) is an established national leader in industrial battery and charging solutions. We support the materials-handling, industrial-equipment and airport ground-support markets, supplying and servicing batteries and chargers for electric forklifts and electric Ground Support Equipment.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable, trustworthy and hands-on Warehouse & Service Technician Assistant to join our Perth team to assist with Battery pack assembly amongst other duties.

This full-time position is based at our Welshpool facility, with an immediate start available.

No previous battery experience is required—comprehensive training will be provided by our experienced team.

This is a varied, practical position combining warehouse operations, product preparation, quality-control inspections and technical support.

As your training and experience develop, the role will expand to include customer deliveries, battery installations and removals, on-site testing and product analysis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing batteries, chargers and equipment for our field-service technicians

• Assisting with basic battery assembly and product preparation

• Receiving, checking, loading and unloading incoming and outgoing deliveries

• Coordinating and preparing customer deliveries

• Conducting pre-dispatch quality-control checks on batteries and chargers

• Fitting approved plugs and connectors to forklift batteries and chargers in accordance with company procedures

• Recording quality-control results, photographs and product information using mobile applications

• Delivering products to customer sites using company-supplied vehicles

• Assisting with battery installations, removals and on-site testing once trained

• Participating in stocktakes and inventory preparation

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse

• Completing general warehouse and operational duties as required

Standard Operating Procedures are in place across the role to support safety, consistency and quality.

Previous experience in warehousing, labouring, trade-assistant work, deliveries or technician-support roles would be beneficial but is not essential.

Applicants must hold:

• A current Australian driver’s licence

• A current forklift licence

• A current LR/MR truck licence would be an advantage
