Performance and Planning Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and strategic leader to join the Surgery & Perioperative Services team at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), one of Australia's leading tertiary and quaternary healthcare facilities.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Surgery & Perioperative Services, the Performance and Planning Officer plays a critical role in driving performance excellence, service planning, clinical redesign, and strategic transformation across one of Queensland's largest and most complex surgical service lines.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of surgical services while working alongside senior executives, clinical leaders, and multidisciplinary teams in delivering world-class healthcare outcomes.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Lead the monitoring, analysis, reporting, and evaluation of clinical, operational, and financial performance across Surgery and Perioperative Services, ensuring alignment with Metro North Health and RBWH strategic objectives.
• Lead and support clinical service improvement and redesign initiatives that enhance quality, safety, patient flow, service capability, and value‑based care across Surgery and Perioperative Services.
• Lead the development and implementation of strategic planning activities for Surgery and Perioperative Services, ensuring alignment with RBWH, Metro North Health, and Queensland Health priorities.
