About The Role

We’re looking for Store Assistants to join our team at our newly opening Armadale store, as well as the potential to work with our other stores! The Sales Assistant contributes to the success of Birkenstock Australia by delivering authentic customer service, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily operations. This role is focused on ensuring a positive customer experience while upholding brand standards and working collaboratively within the team.

This is a permanent part-time position, and you may occasionally be required to work at an alternative store.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries in-store and over the phone

• Process sales transactions, including cash, EFTPOS, and credit card payments. · Manage mail orders, banking, packing, and posting of deliveries.

• Assess product repairs, handle faulty items, and manage returns.

• Provide product education, including features, benefits, usage, and best-care instructions.

• Assist with routine operational tasks to maintain a presentable and organized boutique, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.

• Support visual merchandising in line with brand guidelines.

• Efficiently receive, unpack stock and shelving merchandise

• Contribute to an energetic and inviting retail environment.

• Adhere to all sales and operational policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with company standards and brand values.

• Engage in ongoing learning to improve product knowledge and service skills.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Experience working in a busy retail environment;

• Able to work well under pressure and maintain composure during challenging customer interactions;

• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality;

• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and follow up effectively.

• Ability to work independently and within a diverse team

• Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

• Computer literacy and experience with lightspeed POS systems (desirable)

• Availability to work weekends and public holidays
