Legal Assistant/Secretary - 3 days p/w

Moss & Co Consulting is partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Assistant to join their Corporate & Commercial team on a permanent part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant looking for genuine work life balance, with the flexibility to work three days per week and choose the days that work best for you.

You’ll be joining an easy going and supportive team, providing day to day support across a busy Corporate & Commercial practice and becoming an integral part of keeping the team organised and matters moving.

The Role
Working closely with lawyers and other support staff, you’ll provide high level legal and administrative support across the practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diary and inbox management
• Monthly billing and account management
• Opening, maintaining and closing matters
• Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents
• Managing correspondence and documentation
• File and document management
• Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders
• General administrative support across the team

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Legal Assistant who enjoys being an integral part of a legal practice and takes pride in providing high quality support.

You’ll ideally bring previous experience within Corporate & Commercial or another legal practice area, together with strong diary management, billing and document skills.

You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable juggling competing priorities, with the confidence to support multiple fee earners and the initiative to keep things moving.

Due to the requirements and long-term nature of this particular position, current law students are unfortunately unable to be considered.

The Opportunity
You’ll be joining an established national firm and a friendly, easy-going team that is continuing to grow.

The role is initially three days per week, with flexibility around which days you work and the potential to increase to four days per week longer term.

This is an office-based position in Melbourne CBD and would particularly suit someone looking for a stable, long term part time opportunity within legal support.
