Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $83,102, plus up to 15% superannuation

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist Fitter Water & Sewerage to join our Water branch and play a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure, plant and equipment that our community relies on every day.
This is an opportunity to bring your mechanical fitting expertise to a diverse operational environment, working across water, wastewater and recycled water systems. You’ll undertake preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, fabrication, equipment installation and mechanical overhauls — helping ensure our assets remain safe, reliable and operational.
As the Specialist Fitter, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair and construction of water and sewerage infrastructure and associated plant and equipment.

This is more than just a mechanical maintenance role. As part of Gympie Regional Council's Water Industry Operations team, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, reliable and efficient water, wastewater and recycled water services that support our communities every day.
You'll work across a diverse range of pumps, motors, treatment plant equipment, pipelines and mechanical systems that are critical to the operation of our water and wastewater infrastructure. This is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to implement a progressive preventative maintenance program focused on improving asset reliability, reducing reactive maintenance and driving best-practice asset management outcomes.
Working alongside experienced professionals and a well-equipped workshop you'll have opportunities to apply your technical expertise, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help shape the future maintenance approach for our essential water assets.
