SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – SYDNEY CBD – ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FIRM – HYBRID FLEXIBILITY (JOB ID 1270)

Our client is a well-established professional services firm with a strong presence across Australia, delivering accounting, tax and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SME and corporate clients. With a strong focus on people development, technical excellence and collaboration, the firm continues to grow its Business Advisory division. 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant ready to step up, take responsibility for client delivery, and work closely with Managers and Directors in a structured and supportive team environment. 

The Role: 

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for a range of entity types  

• Manage and support client relationships with direct communication and queries  

• Assist Managers and Directors with advisory and technical accounting matters  

• Work on budgeting, reporting and business performance analysis  

• Apply accounting standards and tax legislation to compliance work  

• Identify opportunities to support clients with value-added advisory services  

• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of work  

• Use accounting systems including cloud-based platforms and practice software  

About You: 

• 3+ years experience in Australian business services & tax within public practice  

• CA or CPA qualified, or completed CA program  

• Strong understanding of accounting standards and taxation compliance  

• Experience with software such as Xero, MYOB, APS or similar  

• Strong communication skills with confidence working with clients and stakeholders 

• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines  

• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
