About the role
Employment: Permanent RoleExperience: 5+ YearsLocation: Sydney, Australia (Hybrid)Eligibility: Candidates must have full working rights in Australia (Citizen, PR, or Valid Visa holders).
Required Skills5+ years of backend development experience with Java 11+/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.Strong experience building microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and event-driven applications using Kafka or IBM MQ.Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/SQL Server, database design, SQL optimization, and migration tools (Flyway/Liquibase).Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong testing experience using JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, and contract testing frameworks.
Nice to HaveExperience with Python for automation or scripting.Knowledge of SWIFT MT messaging and Trade Finance products.Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments.Exposure to Temporal, Camunda, Drools, or legacy system integrations (COBOL/IBM MQ).
