About the Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Finance Manager will take ownership of core financial reporting and month-end processes while supporting a range of business improvement and strategic initiatives.

• Owning the month-end close process across a multi-entity group, ensuring accurate and timely management reporting
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining strong controls and resolving outstanding items
• Delivering insightful P&L and balance sheet commentary, explaining key trends and variances
• Driving efficiencies, automation and process improvements across finance operations and reporting
• Supporting external audit processes, including preparation of workpapers, schedules and audit documentation
• Reviewing accounts payable processes, supplier reconciliations, accruals and payment controls
• Assisting with statutory reporting requirements and compliance obligations
• Reviewing tax lodgements including BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax and income tax reporting
• Acting as a key point of contact for finance-related operational queries across the business

About You

• CA or CPA qualified, with a proven experience within a Financial Accountant, Senior Accountant or Finance Manager position
• Experience working within a multi-entity business environment
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Exposure to statutory reporting, audit requirements and indirect tax compliance
• Advanced Excel skills with strong systems capability; Xero experience will be highly regarded
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement efficiencies
• Naturally curious with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Self-motivated, hands-on and willing to dive into the detail when required
• Interest in leveraging technology and AI tools to improve finance workflows will be highly regarded
