Production Supervisor - Day Shift

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor with exposure to the food industry to join their team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient functioning of the team, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the effective working of production personnel and prepare production schedules. You will have 2 direct reports
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and food safety principles.
  
• Implement strategies to improve processes, minimize material wastage, and maximize factory efficiency.
  
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, factory repairs, and improvements.
  
• Manage procurement of necessary items for operations, including cleaning chemicals, uniforms, PPE, and production tools.
  
• Administer process staff schedules and leaves to minimize disruptions to production.
  
• Analyze staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance with production schedules and budget.
  
• Facilitate internal and external plant audits.
  
• Review and analyze customer complaint reports, identifying areas for improvement.
  
• Ensure completion of plant SOPs and production forms, maintaining compliance with product specifications.
  
• Mitigate process and product deviations in operations.
  
• Resolve personnel and operational problems, recommending appropriate actions.
  
• Participate in performance management and conduct employee performance reviews.
  
• Conduct team meetings to provide relevant information on factory performance and company updates.
  
• Develop a culture of respect, care, and professionalism within the team.
  
• Maintain effective relations with employees at all levels of the organization.
  
• Ensure health and safety risks are controlled and monitored according to company processes.
  

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  
• Have experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  
• Proven experience in production supervision or related roles. 
  
• Strong understanding of quality and food safety principles - GMP and HACCAP
  
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  
• Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  
• Familiarity with performance management techniques.
  
• Be committed to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
