Details: The Assistant Director Injury Management Business Partner is responsible for providing expert injury management and workers' compensation case management support across the Education Directorate. Working within the People and Conduct team, the role partners with employees, managers and key stakeholders to facilitate early intervention, workplace rehabilitation and sustainable return to work outcomes for both compensation and non-compensation matters.
The position provides specialist advice on injury management, coordinates return to work arrangements, manages complex and long-tail claims, and represents the Directorate in dealings with key external stakeholders including CMTEDD Injury Management Team and EML. The role also contributes to strategic injury management initiatives through data analysis, reporting, business improvement activities and support for complex workers' compensation matters.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, case management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide authoritative advice in a complex operating environment while upholding the ACT Public Service values. of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration and Innovation.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
This position requires a solid understanding of injury management in a HR context or relevant qualifications and/or experience in a similar role.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to four months with the possibility of permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
